Navy Exchange
Navy Exchange (Nigeria) is managed and operated by Sharp Intelligence Ltd.
Upon given the right to operate the Navy Exchange store in 2005, Sharp Intelligence Ltd., had in its agenda the following programmes for the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigerian Navy. Which comprised of;
• Supply of high quality and a wide variety of electrical and electronics household appliances to officers and men of the Nigerian Navy. This, we have being able to achieve by ensuring that any product purchased from the exchange goes with one (1) year warranty this is because we are sure of our products, we supply only genuine and the best possible products only.
• Making sure that officers and men of the Nigerian Navy shop with ease at a much reduced price and convenient payment pattern and dignity. We have two modes of payments.
1. Direct Navy Exchange Credit: under this payment mode, all an officer is required to provide is fifty percent (50%) of the price and two (2) equal post dated cheques which makes it very convenient for any officer to buy any product of his choice. This credit facility is not interest based and is backed up with our solid financial backbone without additional monthly interest charged.
2. Bank schedule Credit (12-24months): under our bank scheduled credit, all an officer needs from us is a duly signed invoice containing the items or products that the officer needs from the exchange and a bank account with the bank. First bank Nigeria Plc has a formidable partnership with us under their U-First credit program
• Part of our mid term goals included the deployment of an internet repeater station in the Naval barracks where we are Domiciled, today we can proudly say NNS WEY, Navy town, Ojo, Lagos, is connected via our wireless hot spot, and the establishment of a cyber cafe. And recently we just got the approval for the deployment of an internet repeater station in NNS BEECROFT Apapa Lagos.
• Job opportunities for the youths and fresh graduates residing in the Naval barracks, to display their potentials.
• To also provide education and training for the Students Industrial Work Experience, popularly called I.T, likewise corpers, to enhance their skills in their field of academic study.
All the rules guiding the management of the Navy Exchange have being observed, this past years, we have been able to work without constant supervision, all our mid term and short term goals have been achieved. We have being tested and trusted.
Part of our long term goals included the following in other to promote the goals, aim, growth and the original motive behind the establishment of the Navy Exchange. They include;
• Navy Exchange one stop- shop
• Navy Exchange theatre
• Navy Exchange tours and travels
• Navy Exchange resorts, recreation and hotels
Above all, we can clearly state that our mission is to provide our customers quality goods and services at a savings and to support quality of life programs. The retail stores and many services offered by Navy Exchange makes it an important quality of life benefit to customers…active duty, family members, retirees, around the country, both ashore and at sea.
The Navy Exchange project is headquartered in NNS BEECROFT, Apapa Naval Base and a branch office in NNS WEY Navy Town with over 15 dedicated staffs in our two locations.
All our programs focus on the Sailor and the necessity of a good quality of life.
Within the Navy Exchange System are three primary business units. These include electronics stores and services, Navy Exchange supermarket, the Navy exchange wireless network and Telecommunications.
